The Pirates will be playing a few tunes at Blakeney Harbour Rooms on Sunday (30th)
fantastic session at the Gin Trap last night - Saga louts entertained (if only they would all take the same medication) and the visit from the Old Wild Rovers made it out of the ordinary. Tough act to follow next time.......
Gin Trap session starts at 7.45 tonight.........
Just added a gig at The Merchant's Bar in King's Lynn on 26th July - come down for a chance to hear an extended set from the Pirates and enjoy some good food and beer
Link here: http://www.denvermills.co.uk/merchants%20bar.html and on Trip Advisor forgot to thank Lewis for the excellent sound..... and Ray for the guest percussion.....
'I really enjoyed the set - great vocal harmonies' - Andy G
'Great choice of songs, really varied' - Ray 'You guys were really tight, a really good set' - Dave M 'You sounded fantastic, really full of energy' - Helen M 'Do you ever play in Essex?' (yes if get offered a gig!) A really good mini festival at the weekend - can't praise Dave and Helen enough for their organisation. Free beer for artitst well received.
Pirates set went down well - encouraging to see more people there at the end than when we started! Set list looked like this: Unquiet Grave, Friends of the Devil, Longdog Ashokan Farewell, Wagon Wheel, Galway Farmer, Bold Riley, The 'Village' set of tunes, New York Girls, Raggle Taggle Gypsies, The Bonnie Ship the Diamond, Time limitations meant we skipped New York Girls and the Village set |
